I was so excited to take some photos of baby Gabriella a few days ago! Although she was passed out most of the time (and looking adorable), when she smiled it just melted my heart. And those little hands and feet – too much! :) I am so excited for her incredible parents, Heather and Joe, and I look forward to seeing how she grows over the next year! What a cutie-pie. :)
I love this time of year. The weather starts to warm up, days last longer and the hills turn a golden yellow – the perfect setting for some beautiful photography! So we set out to the hills surrounding Clayton, CA in the late afternoon with my beautiful friend Stephanie. We had a great time just running through the fields and enjoying the sunshine! Alright, I’ve made a pact with myself to start including more personal photos on the blog. This weekend my amazing husband and photo partner, Chris and I joined some friends down at a family ranch in Livermore off the 5 freeway. Aside from the ridiculous heat and sheer amount of dirt that made it into my shoes, I have to say it was awesome – great company and beautiful scenery! We spent the day eating killer food, practicing target shooting (after which I have come to accept the fact that I will never be a sharp shooter for the CIA), off-roading in the mountains, and piddling around in a beat up golf cart. I’m not sure it gets any better than that! And as a side note, I realize this post is rather long but I couldn’t help but include some snapshots of the adorable animals that were living there. :)
Well I’m not sure what to say about this shoot other than I absolutely LOVE this woman! Sara and I have been talking about photographing her for a while now (you may remember her adorable son Noah who I took photos of a while back). We wanted an urban feel, so we headed outdoors to the streets of Oakland/Emeryville just before twilight. We had a blast cruising around, chatting it up and searching for cool locations. Even when it got dark, we were having so much fun we just kept taking pictures. I grabbed my portable softbox and we were able to get a few more shots! Sara looked amazing, but she is also one of the most fun and genuine people that I know. I’m really blessed in so many ways.
Last weekend we headed out to take some photos of the St. Claire family in the Presidio in San Francisco. Thankfully it turned out to be a beautiful day in the city and we were able to get some great shots! We had a lot of fun spending the afternoon with this wonderful family and their playful puppy, Finbar!
