Outdoor Portrait Photography Mt. Diablo | Stachia

Why oh why don’t I shoot at this time of day more often?!  I just LOVE all the gorgeous colors that come through as the sun is setting.  We headed up to the hills of Mt. Diablo State Park to take some outdoor portraits of beautiful Stachia.  Although we had to trek through a lot of dry brush to find our locations, Stachia was such a trooper and trusted us completely – even after two gigantic tarantulas crossed our path!  Being a total arachnophobe, I freaked out a bit, but we all made it back safely… what an adventure!  Enjoy.

I love what you did with the sun & illuminating your photos. I am a beginning photographer & I still haven’t mastered this trick. How do you do it? I would appreciate it if I had some suggestions! Thank you!
